Campus Scouting Guide - Week 9, 2025
If you’re watching college football this weekend, do it with a dynasty/draft lens—use this as your remote-control blueprint. The anchors below are full-game watches for dynasty scouting; the alternates are Multiview and/or secondary options.
Our Perfect Saturday Slate
11:00 a.m. CT — #8 Ole Miss @ #13 Oklahoma (ABC) – QB evaluation spot for both Chambliss & Mateer, plus seeing if they help keep the offenses moving enough to let the skill position players around them shine.
2:30 p.m. CT — #15 Missouri @ #10 Vanderbilt (ESPN) – The spotlight will be on RB Ahmad Hardy for Missouri and TE Eli Stowers for Vanderbilt. The QBs for both teams will be fun to watch as well, though I’m not sure either are NFL talents.
6:30 p.m. CT — #3 Texas A&M @ #20 LSU (ABC) – Reed to Concepcion & Craver on the road in a hostile environment and another rehab opportunity for Nussmeier at home.
9:15 p.m. CT — Colorado @ Utah (ESPN) – No other late games today, so this is on the schedule. Two dual-threat QBs in what should be a high-scoring game.
Other Games This Weekend To Consider
Morning:
11:00 a.m. CT - #18 South Florida @ Memphis (ESPN2) – One of the better G5 games this season, both teams are 6-1 and this one provides an important evaluation point for skill position players on both sides. Byrum Broan & Chaz Nimrod for USF and Sutton Smith & Cortez Braham for Memphis.
11:00 a.m. CT - Northwestern @ Nebraska (FS1) – Northwestern is a surprise team that’s 5-2 this season, and gives us another opportunity to watch Raiola, though there are a few skill position players to keep an eye on as well.
Afternoon:
2:30 p.m. CT — #11 BYU @ Iowa State (FOX) – Iowa State has fallen off the last few weeks, but still provides a good opponent for the BYU offense that is loaded - Freshman QB Bear Bachmeier leads the offense that includes RB LJ Martin, WR Chase Roberts, and TE Carsen Ryan.
2:30 p.m. CT — #23 Illinois @ Washington (BTN) – Plenty of skill position talent on both sides in this matchup. RB Kaden Feagin and WR Hank Beatty for Illinois and Jonah Coleman and Denzel Boston for Washington.
3:00 p.m. CT — Baylor @ #21 Cincinnati – QB battle between Baylor’s Sawyer Robinson and Cincy’s Brendan Sorsby - along with plenty of skill position weapons on both sides.
3:15 p.m. CT — #22 Texas @ Mississippi State – I think Arch Manning struggles on the road this week, but he’s been…better(?) the last few weeks. Maybe he surprises us today. Fluff Bothwell is the RB to know for Mississippi State.
Saturday Morning
#8 Ole Miss @ #13 Oklahoma — 11:00 a.m. CT (ABC)
Why This Game Matters (Dynasty): QB evaluation for both sides. Chambliss has been a nice surprise for Ole Miss, leading them to a 4-1 record after starting the season as the backup. He led Ole Miss to an upset over #4 LSU and played well despite a loss to Georgia last week. This is another opportunity to raise his draft stock against a ranked defense.
For OU, Mateer needs a clean, turnover-free outing to continue to rehab his value after a three-INT game against UT a few weeks ago. Plenty of skill position players to watch on both sides.
Ole Miss Rebels
Trinidad Chambliss — QB #6 — 6'1", 200 lbs (Sr)
2025 Stats: 104/166, 1,549 Yards, 8 TDs, 1 INT | 70 Carries, 323 Yards, 5 TDs
Last Game (vs #9 Georgia): 19/36, 263 Yards, 1 TD, 0 INTs | 9 Carries, 42 Yards, 2 TDs
Why We’re Watching: He’s been a surprise story of the season after coming off the bench to lead Ole Miss to a 4-1 record over the last five weeks. This is another primetime game to see how he performs against a top defense.
Kewan Lacy — RB #5 — 5'11", 200 lbs (So)
2025 Stats: 138 Carries, 618 Yards, 10 TDs | 16 Catches, 97 Yards
Last Game (vs #9 Georgia): 12 Carries, 31 Yards, 2 TDs | 3 Catches, 10 Yards
Why We’re Watching: Lacy is a 2027/2028 prospect, but has been one of the better RBs in the SEC this season with 10 TDs in just 7 games. I want to see better efficiency on the ground than he had against LSU & Georgia, despite scoring three times in those two games.
Dae’Quan Wright — TE #8 — 6'5", 255 lbs (Sr)
2025 Stats: 19 Catches, 393 Yards, 3 TDs
Last Game (vs #9 Georgia): 3 Catches, 34 Yards
Why We’re Watching: We’re always on the lookout for TEs that can make the jump to the next level, and Wright is a pairing good size with quality production this season.
Oklahoma Sooners
John Mateer — QB #10 — 6'1", 224 lbs (Jr)
2025 Stats: 133/205, 1,567 Yards, 7 TDs, 6 INTs | 65 Carries, 209 Yards, 5 TDs
Last Game (South Carolina): 18/26, 150 Yards, 1 TD, 0 INTs | 8 Carries for 14 Yards.
Why We’re Watching: One of the hottest prospects early in the season, he’s cooled off since returning from injury. He played better last week against South Carolina after dropping a turd against Texas, but this is another big opportunity to rehab his draft stock.
Deion Burks — WR #4 — 5'9", 188 lbs (Sr)
2025 Stats: 32 Catches, 358 Yards, 2 TDs
Last Game (South Carolina): 2 Catches, 19 Yards
Why We’re Watching: Burks was Mateer’s favorite target early in the season - let’s see if he can regain some of the chemistry and put together a solid game here.
Isaiah Sategna III — WR #5 — 5'10", 182 lbs (Jr)
2025 Stats: 37 Catches, 493 Yards, 4 TDs
Last Game (South Carolina): 7 Catches, 73 Yards, 1 TD
Why We’re Watching: Sategna has taken over for Burks as the primary receiver over the last few weeks - will that continue against another ranked opponent?
Jaren Kanak — TE #12 — 6'2", 233 lbs (Sr)
2025 Stats: 24 Catches, 364 Yards, 0 TDs
Last Game (South Carolina): 1 Catch, 16 Yards
Why We’re Watching: One of my favorite TE sleepers entering the 2026 draft, Kanak is a converted LB and has been a reliable receiver over the middle this season. Let’s see if he can put together a bigger game this week than he did against Georgia.
Other Names to Watch:
Tory Blaylock — RB #6 — 5'11", 203 lbs
Saturday Afternoon
#15 Missouri @ #10 Vanderbilt — 2:30 p.m. CT (ESPN)
Why This Game Matters: Non-traditional ranked teams in a big spot this week. For Missouri, RB Ahmad Hardy is the one to watch - he’s been a one-man wrecking crew all season and has the chance to shine against a good Vandy defense.
For the Commodores, Diego Pavia is probably more of a great college story than an NFL talent, but his TE is one of the best in the country.
Missouri Tigers
Beau Pribula — QB #9 — 6'2", 212 lbs (Sr)
2025 Stats: 149/213, 1,617 Yards, 11 TDs, 7 INTs | 67 Carries, 210 Yards, 5 TDs
Last Game (Auburn): 23/40, 252 Yards, 0 TDs, 2 INTs | 16 Carries, 28 Yards, 1 TD
Why We’re Watching: Can he bounce back from a 2 INT day against Auburn and help lead the Tigers to a win over Vanderbilt?
Ahmad Hardy — RB #29 — 5'10", 206 lbs (So)
2025 Stats: 139 Carries, 840 Yards, 11 TDs | 4 Catches, 15 Yards
Last Game (Auburn): 24 Carries, 58 Yards, 2 TDs | 1 Catch, 11 Yards
Why We’re Watching: Hardy is a top-5 RB in college football right now, but we’ll be waiting until 2027 to hear his name called in the draft. He’s a bully on the ground and is leading all P4 RBs in yards on the ground.
Vanderbilt Commodores
Diego Pavia — QB #2 — 6'0", 207 lbs (Sr)
2025 Stats: 129/183, 1,569 Yards, 15 TDs, 4 INTs | 77 Carries, 438 Yards, 4 TDs
Last Game (#10 LSU): 14/22, 160 Yards, 1 TD, 0 INTs | 17 Carries, 86 Yards, 2 TDs
Why We’re Watching: He’s fun to watch. Like I mentioned above, I’m not sure if his game translates to the NFL, but he’s been one of the best college stories this season. But, he has a chance to get drafted late, so you never know…
Eli Stowers — TE #9 — 6'4", 235 lbs (Sr)
2025 Stats: 28 Catches, 355 Yards, 2 TDs
Last Game (#10 LSU): 3 Catches, 32 Yards
Why We’re Watching: Pegged as a top-2 TE in the 2026 draft, he’s a little smaller than others at the position, but is one of the better receiving options in this class.
Saturday Night
#3 Texas A&M @ #20 LSU — 6:30 p.m. CT (ABC)
Why This Game Matters: A spot to watch two quality WRs for Texas A&M in KC Concepcion and Mario Craver. QB Marcel Reed has been good, but needs continued development to be dynasty relevant. For LSU, a good opportunity for Garrett Nussmeier to get right at home on a big stage.
Texas A&M Aggies
Marcel Reed — QB #10 — 6'1", 185 lbs (So)
2025 Stats: 125/202, 1,770 Yards, 15 TDs, 4 INTs | 51 Carries, 241 Yards, 4 TDs
Last Game (Arkansas): 23/32, 280 Yards, 3 TDs, 0 INTs | 6 Carries, 55 Yards, 1 TD
Why We’re Watching: LSU is tough to beat at home at night, but if Reed puts together another good game against a ranked opponent, you could see some serious hype building for the 2027 draft.
Mario Craver — WR #1 — 5'9", 165 lbs (So)
2025 Stats: 36 Catches, 674 Yards, 4 TDs | 4 Carries, 46 Yards, 1 TD
Last Game (Arkansas): 4 Catches, 40 Yards | 2 Carries, 11 Yards
Why We’re Watching: Craver is probably a gadget player at the next level, but has NFL speed and will be a weapon - the question is how many touches he’ll earn at the next level.
KC Concepcion — WR #7 — 5'11", 190 lbs (Jr)
2025 Stats: 33 Catches, 500 Yards, 6 TDs | 5 Carries, 47 Yards
Last Game (Arkansas): 5 Catches, 53 Yards, 1 TD | 1 Carry, 16 Yards
Why We’re Watching: Concepcion has been a redzone weapon for the Aggies despite standing under 6ft. Watching for more jump balls and big plays this week.
Other Names to Watch:
Ruben Owens — RB #4 — 5'11", 215 lbs
Le’Veon Moss — RB #8 — 5'11", 210 lbs
LSU Tigers
Garrett Nussmeier — QB #18 — 6'1", 205 lbs (Sr)
2025 Stats: 154/232, 1,638 Yards, 11 TDs, 5 INTs | 21 Carries, 0 Yards, 1 TD
Last Game (#17 Vanderbilt): 19/28, 225 Yards, 2 TDs, 0 INTs
Why We’re Watching: Back-to-back clean performances against ranked teams would go a long way to rehabbing his value after it tanked earlier this season.
Other Names to Watch:
Aaron Anderson — WR #1 — 5'8", 188 lbs
Barion Brown — WR #6 — 5'11", 185 lbs
Caden Durham — RB #29 — 5'9", 205 lbs
Trey’Dez Green — TE #14 — 6'7", 240 lbs
Saturday After Dark
Colorado @ Utah — 9:15 p.m. CT (ESPN)
Why This Game Matters: This is the only game that starts after 9 pm CT, so it’s the one that gets highlighted. Not a ton of top-end talent NFL/dynasty wise in this one, but both teams have dual-threat QBs that are interesting.
Colorado Buffaloes
Kaidon Salter — QB #3 — 6'1", 190 lbs (Sr)
2025 Stats: 93/142, 1,156 Yards, 9 TDs, 4 INTs | 65 Carries, 270 Yards, 5 TDs
Last Game (#22 Iowa State): 16/25, 255 Yards, 2 TDs, 0 INTs | 9 Carries, 57 Yards
Why We’re Watching: Lots of hype around Salter entering the season that has cooled off as the season has gone on, but he played well against Iowa State last week and has another opportunity to put good play on tape this week against a solid Utah defense.
Utah Utes
Devon Dampier — QB #4 — 5'11", 204 lbs (Jr)
2025 Stats: 138/201, 1,375 Yards, 13 TDs, 4 INTs | 80 Carries, 442 Yards, 5 TDs
Last Game (#15 BYU): 20/36, 244 Yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT | 15 Carries, 64 Yards
Why We’re Watching: Dampier has been one of the most eclectic dual-threat QBs in the country you may not have heard of. He’s probably too small to make an impact at the next level, but you can’t deny his production.
Dallen Bentley — TE #88 — 6'4", 264 lbs (Sr)
2025 Stats: 28 Catches, 335 Yards, 3 TDs
Last Game (Wyoming): 4 Catches, 65 Yards
Why We’re Watching: Another senior TE to keep an eye on, he’s got the size you look for and has been one of the focal points of this offense in 2025.
Other Names to Watch:
Wayshawn Parker — RB #1 — 5'10", 206 lbs
NaQuari Rogers — RB #21 — 5'10", 205 lbs
Ryan Davis — WR #9 — 5'11", 181 lbs
