Campus Scouting Guide - Week 10, 2025
If you’re watching college football this weekend, do it with a dynasty/draft lens—use this as your remote-control blueprint. The anchors below are full-game watches for dynasty scouting; the alternates are Multiview and/or secondary options.
Our Perfect Saturday Slate
11:00 a.m. CT — #9 Vanderbilt @ #20 Texas (ABC) – Arch checkpoint vs a ranked defense; Wingo’s WR1 case. Stowers is the TE to log for the 2026 draft.
11:00 a.m. CT — Penn State @ #1 Ohio State (FOX) – Talent on both sides of the ball to watch: Sayin with Smith/Tate vs a real defense; chance for Allar/Singleton/Allen to regain some prospect steam.
11:00 a.m. CT — #10 Miami @ SMU (ESPN) – Clean read on Beck with Fletcher against a good team; SMU’s tempo gives us usable looks at Harden and Brinson.
2:30 p.m. CT — #2 Indiana @ Maryland (CBS) – Road confirmation for Mendoza/Sarratt; freshman Malik Washington can continue to build the résumé if he keeps it close.
6:30 p.m. CT — #18 Oklahoma @ #14 Tennessee (ABC) – Aguilar and Brazzell II are rolling; Mateer needs a turnover-free night to keep Sategna/Kanak relevant.
9:15 p.m. CT — #17 Cincinnati @ #24 Utah (ESPN) – Sorsby’s efficiency vs a legit Utah defense; Dampier’s dual-threat skills and Bentley’s TE role make for a fun late watch.
Other Games This Weekend To Consider
Afternoon:
2:30 p.m. CT - #13 Texas Tech @ Kansas State (FOX) – Behren Morton with Coy Eakin and TE Terrance Carter Jr. on the road; Avery Johnson’s dual-threat ability and Jayce Brown owns WR1 usage for K-State.
2:45 p.m. CT - #15 Virginia @ California (ESPN2) – Virginia leans on J’Mari Taylor and Trell Harris; for Cal, we get a look at freshman QB Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele with Kendrick Raphael and TE Mason Mini.
Evening:
6:30 p.m. CT - #23 USC @ Nebraska (NBC) – Raiola at home with Emmett Johnson/Nyziah Hunter behind him; USC brings Maiava with Lemon/Lane and a two-back look (Waymond Jordan/King Miller).
Saturday Morning
There’s no clear game to watch in this time slot, so pick your favorite of these three.
#9 Vanderbilt @ #20 Texas - 11:00 am CT (ABC)
This is another opportunity to see what Arch Manning is able to do against a ranked opponent. He’s gotten better as the season has gone on, but still not in the 2026 #1 Pick territory. On the other side, Eli Stowers is one of the highest-rated TEs in the nation and has another opportunity to showcase his skillset in a ranked matchup. It’s the only matchup between ranked opponents in this timeslot, but there are other games with more relevant 2026 names to watch.
Vanderbilt commodores
Diego Pavia - Senior QB #6 - 6’0” / 207 lbs
Eli Stowers - Senior TE #9 - 6’4” / 235 lbs
Texas Longhorns
Arch Manning - Sophomore QB #16 - 6’4” / 219 lbs
Ryan Wingo - Sophomore WR #1 - 6’2” / 214 lbs
Penn State @ #1 Ohio State - 11:00 am CT (FOX)
If Penn State had not fallen off a cliff, this would be the easy pick for the game to watch this morning. It still may be the best of the bunch from a scouting perspective with plenty of talent on both sides of the ball. Penn State’s defense is still one of the better defenses in the country and should provide a solid test for QB Julian Sayin and his receivers Jeremiah Smith & Carnell Tate. For Penn State there are plenty of names that were highly ranked at one point - Drew Allar, Nicholas Singleton, & Kaytron Allen - all who have a chance to regain some of their prospect status with a quality game this weekend.
Ohio State Buckeyes
Julian Sayin - Sophomore QB #10 - 6’1” / 208 lbs
Bo Jackson - Freshman RB #25 - 6’0” / 217 lbs
Jeremiah Smith - Sophomore WR #4 - 6’3” / 223 lbs
Carnell Tate - Junior WR #17 - 6’3” / 195 lbs
Max Klare - Junior TE #86 - 6’5” / 243 lbs
Penn State Nittany Lions
Drew Allar - Senior QB #15 - 6’5” / 235 lbs
Nicholas Singleton - Senior RB #10 - 6’0” / 224 lbs
Kaytron Allen - Senior RB #13 - 5’11” / 217 lbs
Luke Reynolds - Sophomore TE #85 - 6’4” / 250 lbs
#10 Miami @ SMU - 11:00 AM CT (ESPN)
The last of the three games in the early window gives us another chance to take a look at Carson Beck and company against a good, but unranked opponent in SMU. Beck, along with RB Mark Fletcher, will be the two primary players to watch for Miami. For SMU, several players could be NFL Draft/Dynasty relevant, with RB TJ Harden and WR Romello Brinson being the two I’d keep an eye on in this game.
Miami Hurricanes
Carson Beck - Senior QB #11 - 6’4” / 220 lbs
Mark Fletcher Jr. - Junior RB #4 - 6’2” / 225 lbs
Malachi Toney Freshman WR #10 - 5’11”
SMU Mustangs
Kevin Jennings - Junior QB #7 - 6’0” / 192 lbs
TJ Harden - Senior RB #27 - 6’2” / 220 lbs
Romello Brinson - Senior WR #3 - 6’2” / 190 lbs
Saturday Afternoon
#2 Indiana @ Maryland — 2:30 pm CT (CBS)
Why We’re Watching: It’s another timeslot without a ton of firepower, but this game has plenty of guys to watch. Indiana should take care of business against Maryland, but this is another opportunity to see Fernando Mendoza and Elijah Sarratt on the road against a Big 10 Team with a winning record. For Maryland, the story of the season has been Freshman QB Malik Washington - if he can play well enough for Maryland to keep it close, he should garner even more attention for the 2028/2029 draft class.
Indiana Hoosiers
Fernando Mendoza — Junior QB #15 — 6’5” / 225 lbs
2025 Stats: 148/203, 1,923 Yards, 24 TDs, 3 INTs | 46 Carries, 196 Yards, 3 TDs
Last Week (UCLA): 15/22, 168 Yards, 3 TDs, 1 INT | 5 Carries, 45 Yards, 1 TD
Why we’re watching: He’s one of the top QBs in the 2026 draft, and should continue to pad his stats this week. I do want to see him make some tough throws into tight windows, but this is more of a confirmation note than a concern.
Elijah Sarratt — Senior WR #13 — 6’2” / 209 lbs
2025 Stats: 45 Catches, 609 Yards, 10 TDs
Last Week (UCLA): 2 Catches, 6 Yards, 1 TD
Why we’re watching: Sarratt has been one of Mendoza’s go-to guys all season and is quickly becoming one of my favorite WRs in the 2026 draft. He should be moving up my rankings in the next release.
Omar Cooper Jr — Junior WR #3 — 6’0” / 201 lbs
2025 Stats: 39 Catches, 583 Yards, 7 TDs | 3 Carries, 74 Yards, 1 TD
Last Week (UCLA): 2 Catches, 2 Yards
Why we’re watching: Cooper is the 1B to Sarratt’s 1A in the WR room. While he hasn’t gotten as much hype as Sarratt, he’s still putting up NFL-caliber tape, whether he comes out in 2026 or returns to school and comes out in 2027.
Maryland Terrapins
Malik Washington — Freshman QB #7 — 6’5” / 231 lbs
2025 Stats: 160/268, 1,716 Yards, 11 TDs, 3 INTs | 24 Carries, 98 Yards, 3 TDs
Last Game (UCLA): 23/48, 210 Yards, 1 TD, 1 INT | 6 Carries, 67 Yards
Why we’re watching: Washington is displaying a future NFL skill set as a true freshman this season. There’s some development that needs to happen as a passer, but a good game against the #2 team, win or lose, will continue to build the early resume.
Saturday Evening
#18 Oklahoma @ #14 Tennessee — 6:30 pm CT (ABC)
Why We’re Watching: This should be fun. Oklahoma needs a clean road game from John Mateer, and Tennessee’s passing game has been rolling behind Joey Aguilar and Chris Brazzell II. If Mateer protects the ball and Sategna keeps winning downfield, OU can keep this close. If Aguilar stays hot, Tennessee has the higher ceiling at home.
Oklahoma Sooners
John Mateer — Junior QB #10 — 6’1” / 224 lbs
2025 Stats: 150/236, 1,790 Yards, 8 TDs, 6 INTs | 78 Carries, 226 Yards, 5 TDs
Last Game (#8 Ole Miss): 17/31, 223 Yards, 1 TD, 0 INTs | 13 Carries, 17 Yards
Why we’re watching: Mateer needs a turnover-free night on the road. If he keeps the sheet clean and sustains drives, he regains some of the value he lost after the three-INT game against Texas.
Isaiah Sategna III — Junior WR #5 — 5’10” / 182 lbs
2025 Stats: 43 Catches, 624 Yards, 5 TDs
Last Game (#8 Ole Miss): 6 Catches, 131 Yards, 1 TD
Why we’re watching: Sategna is emerging as one of the most reliable downfield options in college football. Another 8–10 target game vs a ranked opponent will keep pushing him up the rankings.
Jaren Kanak — Senior TE #12 — 6’2” / 233 lbs
2025 Stats: 27 Catches, 394 Yards, 0 TDs
Last Game (#8 Ole Miss): 3 Catches, 30 Yards
Why we’re watching: I’ve highlighted Kanak before, and I’m going to keep doing so. His usage has fallen a little bit as the season has gone on, but this is still a guy you need to watch. Still a deep sleeper type, but watch out if he gets decent draft capital.
Other Names to Watch:
Tory Blaylock — RB #6 — 5’11”, 203 lbs
Tennessee Volunteers
Joey Aguilar — Senior QB #6 — 6’3” / 225 lbs
2025 Stats: 166/252, 2,344 Yards, 18 TDs, 6 INTs | 37 Carries, 91 Yards, 2 TDs
Last Game (Kentucky): 20/26, 396 Yards, 3 TDs, 0 INTs
Why we’re watching: He’s not been talked about in the same conversations as Ty Simpson or Fernando Mendoza, but that fits his underdog story. He needs to have a turnover-free day against a ranked opponent, but still someone to keep an eye on heading into 2026 drafts.
Chris Brazzell II — Junior WR #17 — 6’5” / 200 lbs
2025 Stats: 43 Catches, 740 Yards, 8 TDs
Last Game (Kentucky): 4 Catches, 138 Yards, 1 TD
Why we’re watching: Brazzell can flat out play - big bodied WR with enough vertical speed to make explosive plays. I want to see an expanded route tree and what his route running looks like, but he’s one of my personal favorites in the 2026 class.
Other Names to Watch:
Desean Bishop — RB #18 — 5’10”, 208 lbs
Star Thomas — RB #9 — 6’0”, 210 lbs
Mike Matthews — WR #4 — 6’1”, 200 lbs
Braylon Staley — WR #14 — 6’0”, 190 lbs
Saturday After Dark
#17 Cincinnati @ #24 Utah - 9:15 pm CT (ESPN)
Why We’re Watching: Finally, a game in the late window worth staying up for. Utah’s defense provides a real barometer for how good Cincinnati’s offense really is. This is a good spot to see if Brendan Sorsby’s production holds up on the road and whether Cyrus Allen keeps his red-zone role. For Utah, Devon Dampier has been a steady dual-threat QB. If that continues against a ranked opponent, he could work his way into late draft consideration. Dallen Bentley may be more of a long-shot name to know, but TEs can come out of nowhere.
Cincinnati Bearcats
Brendan Sorsby — Junior QB #2 — 6’3” / 235 lbs
2025 Stats: 133/204, 1,843 Yards, 20 TDs, 1 INT | 69 Carries, 425 Yards, 7 TDs
Last Game (Baylor): 13/21, 111 Yards, 2 TDs, 0 INTs | 11 Carries, 85 Yards, 1 TD
Why we’re watching: Sorsby has quietly put together one of the best QB seasons this season. This game provides a road test against a disciplined defense. Probably a mid-round pick today, he could continue to raise his profile with a big game tonight.
Cyrus Allen — Senior WR #4 — 5’11” / 180 lbs
2025 Stats: 34 Catches, 381 Yards, 9 TDs | 3 Carries, 21 Yards
Last Game (Baylor): 3 Catches, 36 Yards, 1 TD
Why we’re watching: Allen has put together a strong red-zone résumé already. If the target share holds up away from home, he could be a mid to late draft pick and be an interesting profile next year.
Joe Royer — Senior TE #11 — 6’5” / 250 lbs
2025 Stats: 22 Catches, 340 Yards, 4 TDs
Last Game (Baylor): 1 Catch, 12 Yards
Why we’re watching: Royer is a TE with legit seam usage. Maybe off the NFL radar at the moment, but we know Cincinnati can produce NFL-caliber TEs.
Other Names to Watch:
Evan Pryor — Senior RB #6 — 5'9", 195 lbs
Utah Utes
Devon Dampier — Junior QB #4 — 5’11” / 204 lbs
2025 Stats: 138/201, 1,375 Yards, 13 TDs, 4 INTs | 80 Carries, 442 Yards, 5 TDs
Last Game (#15 BYU): 20/36, 244 Yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT | 15 Carries, 64 Yards
Why we’re watching: Dampier is probably too small to be an NFL QB, but he brings legit dual-threat skills to the table.
Dallen Bentley — Senior TE #88 — 6’4” / 264 lbs
2025 Stats: 30 Catches, 369 Yards, 3 TDs
Last Week (Wyoming): 2 Catches, 34 Yards
Why we’re watching: Another TE to keep an eye on heading into the 2026 draft. A big game today could valut him into the NFL conversation.
Other Names to Watch:
Wayshawn Parker — Sophomore RB #1 — 5'10", 206 lbs
Ryan Davis — Senior WR #9 — 5'11", 181 lbs
