Campus Scouting Guide - Week 8, 2025
Our Perfect Weekend Slate
If you’re watching college football this weekend, do it with a dynasty/draft lens—use this as your remote-control blueprint. The anchors below are full-game watches for dynasty scouting; the alternates are Multiview and/or secondary options.
Saturday:
11:00 a.m. CT — #10 LSU @ #17 Vanderbilt (ABC) – How does Nussmeier look on the road against a ranked defense? I’m wanting to see him regain some of his prospect status he had coming into the year.
2:30 p.m. CT — #5 Ole Miss @ #9 Georgia (ABC) – Can Chambliss keep things rolling against a top defense, and which Georgia skill position players step up in a top-10 matchup?
6:30 p.m. CT — #11 Tennessee @ #6 Alabama (ABC) – WRs on both sides - Brazzell II for Tennessee and Bernard and Williams for Alabama.
6:30 p.m. CT — #20 USC @ #13 Notre Dame (NBC) – Two young QBs with high-end skill position players on both sides of this prime time matchup.
9:30 p.m. CT — Florida State @ Stanford (ESPN) – Not a lot of options for the late-night game, but this is a good opportunity to watch Duce Robinson for FSU.
Other Games This Weekend To Consider
Morning:
11:00 a.m. CT - #12 Georgia Tech @ Duke (ESPN) – This is a good opportunity to watch Mensah against a ranked opponent.
11:00 a.m. CT - Washington @ Michigan (FOX) – Plenty of players on both sides of this matchup - two top RBs for 2026, plus QBs and WRs for both Washington and Michigan.
11:00 a.m. CT - Baylor @ TCU (ESPN2) – Both teams have underrated QBs who could make noise in either the 2026 or 2027 drafts, with plenty of skill players who could be draft and dynasty relevant.
11:45 a.m. CT - #14 Oklahoma @ South Carolina (SECN) – Let’s see both Mateer and Sellers have a good game against a tough SEC opponent.
Afternoon:
3:00 p.m. CT - #7 Texas Tech @ Arizona State (FOX) – Every time Tyson has an opportunity to play a ranked opponent, I’m going to talk about it. Plenty of guys to watch in this one on both sides.
2:30 p.m. CT - UTSA @ North Texas (ESPN+) – An under-the-radar game featuring UTSA RB Robert Henry Jr. and Freshman QB Drew Mestemaker.
Evening:
5:30 p.m. CT - #8 Oregon @ Rutgers (BTN) – How does Oregon bounce back after losing to Indiana? Ian Strong for Rutgers is a name to know for the 2026/2027 drafts.
6:45 p.m. CT - #16 Mizzou @ Auburn (SECN) – Two top prospects to watch in this one: Hardy for Mizzou and Coleman for Auburn.
7:00 p.m. CT - #23 Utah @ #15 BYU (FOX) – Two dual-threat QBs with plenty of pass catchers on both sides. BYU RB LJ Martin is a name to know.
Saturday Morning
#10 LSU @ #17 Vanderbilt — 11:00 a.m. CT (ABC)
Why We’re Watching: A good opportunity to see Garrett Nussmeier’s decision-making on the road against a ranked opponent. Plus, another ranked opponent to evaluate Diego Pavia - and one of the top TEs in the 2026 draft Eli Stowers — against a tough LSU defense.
LSU Tigers
Garrett Nussmeier — QB #18 — 6'1", 205 lbs (Sr)
2025 Stats: 135/204, 1,413 Yards, 9 TDs, 5 INTs | 19 Carries, 13 Yards, 1 TD
Last Game (South Carolina): 20/33, 254 yYrds, 2 TDs, 2 INTs | 4 Carries for 30 Yards
What We’re Watching For: Can he have a clean game against a top defense without turning the ball over? If so, we could see his draft stock rebound.
Aaron Anderson — WR #1 — 5'8", 188 lbs (Jr) - If he plays
2025 Stats: 23 Catches for 305 Yards
Last Game (Ole Miss): 2 Catches for 12 Yards
What We’re Watching For: How does he play (if he plays) coming back from injury, and can he help elevate Nussmeier’s play?
Barion Brown — WR #6 — 5'11", 185 lbs (Sr)
2025 Stats: 27 Catches, 261 Yards, 1 TD | 3 Carries for 33 Yards
Last Game (South Carolina): 2 Catches for 22 yards
What We’re Watching For: A bounce-back performance from Brown. Let’s see if either him or Anderson be the go-to target for Nussmeier.
Other Names to Watch
Caden Durham — RB #29 — 5'9", 205 lbs
Vanderbilt Commodores
Diego Pavia — QB #2 — 6'0", 207 lbs (Sr)
2025 Stats: 115/161, 1,409 Yards, 14 TDs, 4 INTs | 60 Carries, 352 Yards, 2 TDs
Last Game (Alabama): 21/35, 198 Yards, 1 TD, 1 INT | 12 Carries for 58 Yards
What We’re Watching For: Another opportunity to see Pavia against a ranked defense. He’s minimized turnovers this season, but can he get a big win against a top team?
Eli Stowers — TE #9 — 6’4”, 235 lbs (Sr)
2025 Stats: 25 Catches, 323 Yards, 2 TDs
Last Game (Alabama): 3 Catches for 22 Yards
What We’re Watching For: Stowers’ worst performances have come against #11 South Carolina & #10 Alabama - let’s see him have a statement performance against a ranked defense.
Saturday Afternoon
#5 Ole Miss @ #9 Georgia — 2:30 p.m. CT (ABC)
Why We’re Watching: After starting the season as the backup, Chambliss has led Ole Miss to four straight wins, including a win over #4 LSU a couple of weeks ago. Can he keep the magic going against Georgia?
Georgia’s side is all role clarity—Nate Frazier’s short-yardage/RZ ownership and whether the WR room (Zachariah Branch, Colbie Young, and London Humphreys) shows real target gravity when the field compresses.
Ole Miss Rebels
Trinidad Chambliss — QB #6 - 6’1”, 200 lbs (Sr)
2025 Stats:85/130, 1,286 Yards, 7 TDs, 1 INT | 61 Carries, 281 Yards, 3 TDs
Last Game (Washington State): 20/29, 253 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT | 11 rush, 15 yards, 1 TD
What We’re Watching For: Can he keep it going? He’s already got one top-5 win under his belt - can he add another Top-10 win over Georgia this week?
Kewan Lacy — RB #5 - 5’11”, 200 lbs (So)
2025 Stats: 126 Carries, 587 Yards, 8 TDs | 12 Catches for 87 Yards
Last Game (Washington State): 24 carries for 142 yards | 2 rec for 19 yards
What We’re Watching For: Washington State was the first game this season that he didn’t score a TD in. Let’s see him get into the endzone against one of the best defenses in the country.
Dae’Quan Wright — TE #8 - 6’4”, 255 lbs (Sr)
2025 Stats: 16 Catches, 359 Yards, 3 TDs
Last Game (Washington State): 4 rec, 80 yards, 1 TD
What We’re Watching For: More volume. The efficiency on 16 catches is crazy - 22.4 Yards per reception with three TDs. Can he command a larger share of the targets?
Georgia Bulldogs
Nate Frazier — RB #3 — 5'10", 210 lbs (So)
2025 Stats: 60 Carries, 277 Yards, 2 TDs | 5 Catches, 43 Yards
Last Game (Auburn): 10 Carries, 24 Yards | 2 Catches for 17 Yards
What We’re Watching For: What is his role within this offense? Can he carve out a larger role this season, or will we need to wait until next season to become a true workhorse back?
Zachariah Branch — WR #1 — 5'10", 180 lbs (Jr)
2025 Stats: 27 Catches, 291 Yards, 2 TDs
Last Game (Auburn): 9 Catches for 57 Yards
What We’re Watching For: Let’s continue to see manufactured touches and volume.
Colbie Young — WR #8 — 6'3", 215 lbs (Sr)
2025 Stats: 22 Catches, 300 Yards, 1 TD
Last Game (Auburn): 4 Catches for 53 Yards
What We’re Watching For: Outside route tree and volume in this offense.
Saturday Evening
Option 1: #11 Tennessee @ #6 Alabama — 6:30 p.m. CT (ABC)
Why We’re Watching: Two QBs who are battling over draft stock. Simpson has been slowly improving his draft stock each week since taking a Week 1 loss to FSU, while Joey Aguilar has played well, but needs to put more quality games against ranked defenses on tape. Three WR names to know: Chris Brazzell for Tennessee, and Ryan Williams & Germie Bernard for Bama.
Tennessee Volunteers
Joey Aguilar — QB #6 — 6'3", 225 lbs (Sr)
2025 Stats: 118/182, 1,680 Yards, 14 TDs, 5 INTs | 26 Carries, 117 Yards, 2 TDs
Last Game (Arkansas): 16/25, 221 Yards, 1 TD, 0 INTs | 5 Carries, 59 Yards
What We’re Watching For: He wasn’t able to lead Tennessee to an upset over Georgia - can he go on the road and help Tennessee upset Alabama? He’ll need to play turnover-free football in order to do so.
Chris Brazzell II — WR #17 — 6'5", 200 lbs (Jr)
2025 Stats: 32 Catches, 536 Yards, 7 TDs
Last Game (Arkansas): 1 Catch, 5 Yards
What We’re Watching For: Not much to write home about against Arkansas - he’s one of the best playmakers in the country, and will need to be a reliable target for Aguilar in this one.
Other Names to Watch:
Desean Bishop — RB #18 — 5'10", 208 lbs
Star Thomas — RB #9 — 6'0", 210 lbs
Mike Matthews — WR #4 — 6'1", 200 lbs
Braylon Staley — WR #14 — 6'0", 190 lbs
Alabama Crimson Tide
Ty Simpson — QB #15 — 6'2", 208 lbs (Jr)
2025 Stats: 134/189, 1,678 Yards, 16 TDs, 1 INT | 40 Carries, 58 Yards, 2 TDs
Last Game (#14 Missouri): 23/31, 200 Yards, 3 TDs, 0 INTs | 10 Carries, 7 Yards
What We’re Watching For: Simpson is quickly becoming one of, if not my favorite QBs in the 2026 draft class. He doesn’t have some of the loud tools other prospects have, but he’s taking care of the ball while making enough plays to lead Alabama to wins.
Ryan Williams — WR #2 — 6'0", 178 lbs (So)
2025 Stats: 21 Catches, 336 Yards, 3 TDs
Last Two Games: 6 Catches, 98 Yards, 1 TD vs #16 Vanderbilt; played injured vs #14 Missouri
What We’re Watching For: Is he healthy? If so, let’s see him put up a big game against Tennessee. We know he’s one of the top WRs for 2027, but let’s see more of it.
Germie Bernard — WR #5 — 6'1", 204 lbs (Sr)
2025 Stats: 28 Catches, 412 Yards, 5 TDs | 8 Carries, 22 Yards, 1 TD
Last Game (#14 Missouri): 3 Catches, 20 Yards
What We’re Watching For: Not much from the Missouri game, can he put up some big numbers this week?
Other Names to Watch:
Jam Miller — RB #26 — 5'10", 221 lbs
Option 2: #20 USC @ #13 Notre Dame — 6:30 p.m. CT (NBC)
Why We’re Watching: Two star running backs for Notre Dame and two star wide receivers for USC - plus the QBs aren’t too shabby either. This is another opportunity to watch guys on both sides play against a ranked team in a primetime game.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish
CJ Carr — QB #13 — 6'3", 210 lbs (Fr)
2025 Stats: 105/158, 1,622 Yards, 13 TDs, 3 INTs | 24 Carries, 16 Yards, 1 TD
Last Game (NC State): 19/31, 342 Yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT
What We’re Watching For: Carr is a freshman who’s been playing like one of the best QBs in the country. Yes, he needs more time to develop, but we’re watching a future NFL QB in this kid.
Jeremiyah Love — RB #4 — 6'0", 214 lbs (Jr)
2025 Stats: 100 Carries, 530 Yards, 8 TDs | 14 Catches, 160 yards, 3 TDs
Last Game (NC State): 18 Carries, 86 Yards, 2 TDs
What We’re Watching For: This kid is an every-down back ready for the NFL. I’d like to see more consistent usage in the passing game, but there’s not much more we need to see from Love.
Jadarian Price — RB #24 — 5'11", 209 lbs (Jr)
2025 Stats: 63 Carries, 422 Yards, 7 TDs | 1 Catch, 35 Yards, 1 TD
Last Game (NC State): 15 Carries, 66 Yards
What We’re Watching For: He is not the biggest name in the backfield, but may be the more explosive/efficient back for ND this season.
Other Names to Watch:
Jordan Faison — WR #6 — 6'10", 183 lbs
Malachi Fields — WR #0 — 6'4", 223 lbs
Eli Raridon — TE #9 — 6'7", 251 lbs
USC Trojans
Jayden Maiava — QB #14 — 6'4", 230 lbs (Jr)
2025 Stats: 123/171, 1,852 Yards, 13 TDs, 2 INTs | 21 Carries, 50 Yards, 4 TDs
Last Game (#15 Michigan): 25/32, 265 Yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT
What We’re Watching For: Maiava is a baller who has plenty of weapons around him. Against the two ranked opponents he’s faced, he’s turned the ball over in each game, so looking for a clean sheet in this one.
Makai Lemon — WR #6 — 5'11", 195 lbs (Jr)
2025 Stats: 44 Catches, 682 Yards, 6 TDs | 2 Carries, 11 Yards, 1 TD
Last Game (#15 Michigan): 9 Catches, 93 Yards, 1 TD
What We’re Watching For: Lemon is in the conversation for the top WR in the 2026 class. He’s got volume, yardage, and TDs to back it up. Focusing on his route tree and alignment.
Ja’Kobi Lane — WR #8 — 6'4", 200 lbs (Jr)
2025 Stats: 18 Catches, 313 Yards, 2 TDs
Last Game (#15 Michigan): 5 Catches, 35 Yards, 1 TD
What We’re Watching For: Lane has been a bit boom or bust for USC this season - can he become more consistent down the stretch? If not, I’d like to see him return to USC for his senior season.
Other Names to Watch:
Waymond Jordan — RB #2 — 5'9", 210 lbs
King Miller — RB #30 — 6'0", 210 lbs
Saturday After Dark
Florida State @ Stanford — 9:30 p.m. CT (ESPN)
Why We’re Watching: I’ll be honest, there aren’t a lot of options for this time slot, so this is the best of the bunch. After a hot start to the season, FSU has cooled off as of late, but this is still an opportunity to see Duce Robinson. For Stanford, there aren’t a lot of guys I think we “HAVE TO WATCH”, but I like Micah Ford and think he can develop into a future dynasty asset.
Florida State Seminoles
Tommy Castellanos — QB #1 — 5'11", 201 lbs (Sr)
2025 Stats: 86/138, 1,365 Yards, 9 TDs, 5 INTs | 65 Carries, 286 Yards, 4 TDs
Last Game (Pitt): 16/23, 245 Yards, 3 TDs, 0 INTs | 8 Carries, 12 Yards
What We’re Watching For: Castellanos’ flaws have been exposed as he’s able to connect for a few big plays a game, but he isn’t the most accurate passer in the 2026 class. Can he change the narrative?
Duce Robinson — WR #0 — 6'6", 222 lbs (Jr)
2025 Stats: 25 Catches, 443 Yards, 3 TDs
Last Game (Pitt): 2 Catches, 10 Yards
What We’re Watching For: Robinson is one of the more intriguing WR prospects in the 2026/2027 classes - height/weight/speed guy, but would like to see more consistency from him.
Stanford Cardinal
Micah Ford — RB #20 — 6'0", 220 lbs (So)
2025 Stats: 91 Carries, 400 Yards, 3 TDs | 8 Catches, 77 Yards
Last Game (SMU): 16 Carries, 53 Yards
What We’re Watching For: Has the potential to be a three-down back at the next level. He’s playing on a bad team, so can he find running room against a good defense?
CJ Williams — WR #3 — 6'1", 205 lbs (Sr)
2025 Stats: 35 Catches, 404 Yards, 1 TD
Last Game (SMU): 7 Catches, 109 Yards, 1 TD
What We’re Watching For: Williams has strung together a few good games this season - can he continue the trend and climb up draft boards?
Sam Roush — TE #86 — 6'5", 260 lbs (Sr)
2025 Stats: 18 Catches, 219 Yards, 2 TDs
Last Game (SMU): 8 Catches, 89 Yards
What We’re Watching For: I’m always looking for TEs in dynasty, and Roush could be one to keep an eye on in the 2026 draft.
