Campus Scouting Guide - Week 7, 2025

Our Perfect Saturday Slate

If you’re watching college football this weekend, do it with a dynasty/draft lens—use this as your remote-control blueprint. The anchors below are full-game watches for NFL-transferable traits; the alternates are Multiview companions—flip audio on 3rd-and-medium, red-zone trips, and when a top prospect is featured.

  • 11:00 a.m. CT — #8 Alabama @ #14 Missouri (ABC) – Simpson’s turnover-light explosives vs a live front; Hardy’s workload against ranked speed. We’re watching red-zone answers beyond QB keepers and WR pecking order.

  • 2:30 p.m. CT — #7 Indiana @ #3 Oregon (CBS) – Mendoza’s heater meets playoff-level athletes; Dante Moore’s on-schedule explosives. TE usage matters (Sadiq).

  • 6:30 p.m. CT — #15 Michigan @ USC (NBC) – Underwood’s NFL-passer traits in prime time; Maiava’s clean deep shots. RB floor vs WR spike weeks decides it.

  • 9:15 p.m. CT — #21 Arizona State @ Utah (ESPN) – Leavitt’s true dual-threat test vs a disciplined unit; Dampier’s command with Bentley as the safety valve.

Other Games This Weekend To Consider

Morning

  • 11:00 a.m. CT - #1 Ohio State @ #17 Illinois (FOX)Julian Sayin with Jeremiah Smith/Carnell Tate vs a ranked defense & Kaden Feagin usage for Illinois.

Afternoon

  • 2:30 p.m. CT - #6 Oklahoma vs Texas (ABC)I’m hoping John Mateer plays so we can see his connection with WR Deion Burks & TE Jaren Kanak. This is another tough game for Arch - does he take even a small step forward?

  • 2:30 p.m. CT - NC State @ #16 Notre Dame (Peacock)This will be CJ Bailey’s toughest test. This is a good opportunity to see how he and RB Hollywood Smothers do vs a ranked D. For Notre Dame, it’s really the Jeremiyah love show, but be sure to keep an eye on Freshman QB CJ Carr.

  • 2:30 p.m. CT - Nebraska @ Maryland (BTN)This is a fun game to check out two 2027 and later QBs with Sophomore QB Dylan Raiola for Nebraska & Freshmen QB Malik Washington for Maryland.

Evening

  • 6:30 p.m. CT - Kansas @ #9 Texas Tech (FOX)Another QB showcase with Jalon Daniels for Kansas & Behren Morton for Texas Tech.

  • 6:30 p.m. CT - #10 Georgia @ Auburn (ABC)Lots of skill position players to watch in this one - RB Nate Frazier for Georgia and WRs Eric Singleton and Cam Coleman for Auburn.

  • 6:45 p.m. CT - South Carolina @ #11 LSU (SECN, 6:45)QB’s LaNorris Sellers and Garrett Nussmeier are the highlights in this one. But plenty of skill position players on both sides to keep an eye on as well.

Saturday Morning

#8 Alabama @ #14 Missouri — 11:00 a.m. CT (ABC)

Why We’re Watching: Two ranked teams get our day started off with QBs and skill positions to watch on both sides. For Alabama, we’re watching Ty Simpson and his connection with his receivers. On the other side, we have

Beau Pribula & Ahmad Hardy for Missouri.

Alabama Crimson Tide

Ty Simpson — QB #15 — 6'2", 208 lbs (Jr)
2025 Stats: 111/158, 1,478 yards, 13 TD, 1 INT | 30 carries, 51 yards, 2 TD
Last Game (vs #16 Vanderbilt): 23/31, 341 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT
What We’re Watching For: Continuing to lead Alabama to wins against ranked opponents while playing turnover-free football. He’s in the conversation for QB with the highest floor heading into the 2026 draft.

Ryan Williams — WR #2 — 6'0", 178 lbs (So)
2025 Stats: 21 receptions, 336 yards, 3 TD
Last Game (vs #16 Vanderbilt): 6 receptions, 98 yards, 1 TD
What We’re Watching For: Can he have another quality game against a tough defense? We know he’s one of the top WRs in the 2027 draft, let’s just continue to see it.

Germie Bernard — WR #5 — 6'1", 204 lbs (Sr)
2025 Stats: 25 receptions, 392 yards, 5 TD | 8 carries, 22 yards, 1 TD
Last Game (vs #16 Vanderbilt): 5 receptions, 82 yards, 1 TD
What We’re Watching For: Similar to Williams, can these two continue to both produce at a high level? Bernard is a 2026 name to know, and while he may be farther down the consensus rankings at the moment than others in next year’s draft, he’s someone who will rise as we get closer to April.

Missouri Tigers

Beau Pribula — QB #9 — 6'2", 212 lbs (Sr)
2025 Stats: 110/145, 1,203 yards, 9 TD, 3 INT | 40 carries, 121 yards, 3 TD
Last Game (vs UMass): 26/29, 241 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT
What We’re Watching For: How does Beau and this offense look against easily their test of the season? They’ve played well up to this point, but is it fool’s gold against bad teams?

Ahmad Hardy — RB #29 — 5'10", 206 lbs (So)
2025 Stats: 103 carries, 730 yards, 9 TD
Last Game (vs UMass): 24 carries, 130 yards, 3 TD
What We’re Watching For: How does Hardy do against one of the best defenses in the country? He’s leading the SEC in rushing so far, and has a good opportunity to have a statement game against Bama.

Saturday Afternoon

#7 Indiana @ #3 Oregon — 2:30 p.m. CT (CBS)

Why We’re Watching: Like the morning game, we get two QBs who are battling to be the top QB in the 2026 class. Mendoza leads Indiana, and look for him to connect with Elijah Sarratt early and often. For Oregon, Dante Moore is looking to follow up a great game against Penn State with another Top-10 victory. He’ll be throwing to WR Dakorien Moore and TE Kanyon Sadiq.

Indiana Hoosiers

Fernando Mendoza — QB #15 — 6'5", 225 lbs (Jr)
2025 Stats: 89/122, 1,208 yards, 16 TD, 1 INT | 30 rush, 102 yards, 2 TD
Last Game (Iowa): 13/23, 233 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT | 8 rush, 26 yards
What We’re Watching For: I want to see Mendoza be more than a game manager against a top team. Against Illinois, he didn’t have to make a lot of tough throws. He’ll be tested against Oregon.

Elijah Sarratt — WR #13 — 6'2", 209 lbs (Sr)
2025 Stats: 31 receptions, 412 yards, 6 TD
Last Game (Iowa): 7 receptions, 156 yards, 1 TD
What We’re Watching For: Let’s continue to see Sarratt in the WR1 role for this offense. A big game against Oregon would help his draft stock.

Oregon Ducks

Dante Moore — QB #5 — 6'3", 206 lbs (So)
2025 Stats: 100/134, 1,210 yards, 14 TD, 1 INT | 24 rush, 112 yards
Last Game (#3 Penn State): 29/39, 248 yards, 3 TD, 0 INT | 10 rush, 35 yards
What We’re Watching For: Indiana is a tough team, but Moore and this offense should play well at home coming off a bye. If he outplays Mendoza and leads Oregon to a victory, he could further cement himself as QB1 in this class.

Dakorien Moore — WR #1 — 5'11", 195 lbs (Fr)
2025 Stats: 19 receptions, 296 yards, 2 TD | 3 rush, 42 yards, 1 TD
Last Game (#3 Penn State): 7 receptions, 89 yards
What We’re Watching For: He’s a 2028 or beyond name to know, but this Freshman has been a big part of this offense. He should continue to command targets and make plays against Indiana.

Kanyon Sadiq — TE #18 — 6'3", 245 lbs (Jr)
2025 Stats: 15 receptions, 204 yards, 3 TD
Last Game (#3 Penn State): 6 receptions, 49 yards
What We’re Watching For: Sadiq has been pegged as the TE1 in the 2026 draft, but we’ve yet to see him have a true breakout performance this season (from a receiving standpoint). Does that come against Indiana?

Saturday Evening

#15 Michigan @ USC — 6:30 p.m. CT (NBC)

Why We’re Watching: For Michigan, my focus is on Justice Haynes. We know he can go for a TD anytime he touches the ball, but can he rip off chunk plays consistently? It’s also another good opponent to see Bryce Underwood go up against. On the other side, how does USC rebound after losing to Illinois last week? I’m watching Maiava and the passing game in this one.

Michigan Wolverines

Bryce Underwood — QB #19 — 6'4", 228 lbs (Fr)
2025 Stats: 77/130, 1,003 yards, 3 TD, 1 INT | 27 carries, 181 yards, 3 TD
Last Game (Wisconsin): 19/28, 270 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT | 5 carries, 12 yards
What We’re Watching For: I’ll admit, I haven’t been overly impressed with what I’ve seen from the freshmen so far this season. There are flashes, but he has a long way to go from a passing standpoint. Can he take a step forward this week?

Justice Haynes — RB #22 — 5'11", 210 lbs (Jr)
2025 Stats: 85 carries, 654 yards, 8 TD | 9 receptions, 29 yards
Last Game (Wisconsin): 19 carries, 117 yards, 2 TD
What We’re Watching For: It’s great to see Haynes rip off long TDs, but I want to see more consistency and less of a boom and bust profile. Can he rip off big chunk after big chunk?

Donaven McCulley — WR #1 — 6'5", 215 lbs (Sr)
2025 Stats: 19 receptions, 309 yards, 1 TD
Last Game (Wisconsin): 6 receptions, 112 yards, 1 TD
What We’re Watching For: McCulley had his best game against Wisconsin last week. He’s an interesting Height/Weight/Speed profile, and more performances like that could raise his draft stock.

USC Trojans

Jayden Maiava — QB #14 — 6'4", 230 lbs (Jr)
2025 Stats: 98/139, 1,587 yards, 11 TD, 1 INT | 20 carries, 57 yards, 4 TD
Last Game (#23 Illinois): 30/42, 364 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT
What We’re Watching For: Can Maiava lead USC to a victory over a ranked opponent? He should have a few opportunities to do it this season with Notre Dame and Oregon still on the schedule, but this could be his best shot.

Waymond Jordan — RB #2 — 5'9", 210 lbs (Jr)
2025 Stats: 77 carries, 537 yards, 5 TD | 6 receptions, 49 yards
Last Game (#23 Illinois): 20 carries, 94 yards, 2 TD | 2 receptions, 12 yards
What We’re Watching For: Can he get more involved in the passing game? It’s been fine, but nothing to write home about. That would create a much more interesting profile.

Makai Lemon — WR #6 — 5'11", 195 lbs (Jr)
2025 Stats: 35 receptions, 589 yards, 5 TD | 2 carries, 11 yards, 1 TD
Last Game (#23 Illinois): 11 receptions, 151 yards, 2 TD
What We’re Watching For: Just continue to do what he’s been doing all season. He’s in the conversation for the #1 WR in the 2026 class, and another big game against a ranked opponent would cement him as such.

Saturday After Dark

#21 Arizona State @ Utah — 9:15 p.m. CT (ESPN)

Why We’re Watching: If you have a chance to watch Jordan Tyson, you take it. He’s my #1 WR right now for the 2026 draft, and he’s dominated every game this season. There are some other names worthy of watching, but Tyson is the one I’m focusing on the most.

Arizona State Sun Devils

Sam Leavitt — QB #10 — 6'2", 205 lbs (So)
2025 Stats: 99/157, 1,039 yards, 8 TD, 3 INT | 55 carries, 281 yards, 5 TD
Last Game (#24 TCU): 27/39, 291 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT | 13 carries, 62 yards, 1 TD
What We’re Watching For: We know he can hurt you on the ground, but can he take a step forward in the passing game? He’s been good, but will need to continue to progress in that area to be considered an NFL QB.

Raleek Brown — RB #3 — 5'9", 195 lbs (Jr)
2025 Stats: 77 carries, 506 yards, 2 TD | 19 receptions, 107 yards
Last Game (#24 TCU): 21 carries, 134 yards | 9 receptions, 50 yards
What We’re Watching For: I love the way this kid runs. He doesn’t get as much hype as other runners, but he runs hard and is involved in the passing game.

Jordyn Tyson — WR #0 — 6'2", 200 lbs (Jr)
2025 Stats: 39 receptions, 483 yards, 7 TD
Last Game (#24 TCU): 8 receptions, 126 yards, 2 TD
What We’re Watching For: Can he maintain scoring a TD in every game this season? I mean, really just sit back and enjoy what Tyson can do.

Utah Utes

Devon Dampier — QB #4 — 5'11", 204 lbs (Jr)
2025 Stats: 111/153, 1,027 yards, 11 TD, 3 INT | 55 carries, 258 yards, 2 TD
Last Game (WVU): 21/26, 237 yards, 4 TD, 1 INT | 11 carries, 33 yards, 1 TD
What We’re Watching For: I’m not sure Dampier will be an NFL-caliber QB, but the dual-threat ability is interesting. He’s a little on the small side, but has played well in just about every game this season. This will be a good test against a solid defense.

Dallen Bentley — TE #88 — 6'4", 264 lbs (Sr)
2025 Stats: 22 receptions, 246 yards, 3 TD
Last Game (WVU): 5 receptions, 59 yards, 1 TD
What We’re Watching For: Bemtley isn’t a name I’m seeing a lot in the 2026 draft conversation, but he’s been putting up solid performances all season. He’s someone I’m keeping an eye on.
