5:30 p.m. CT – Fresno State @ Kansas (FOX) – Under-the-radar prospects who could rise.
6:30 p.m. CT – Stanford @ Hawaii (CBS/Paramount+) – Overlaps with Fresno St/Kansas, so be ready to flip or fire up the multiview — late-night potential with a new WR1 and a young QB on the rise.
Featured Matchups
11:00 a.m. CT – #22 Iowa State @ #17 Kansas State (ESPN)
If you only watch one game this week, make it this one.
It’s the only ranked-vs-ranked matchup, packed with 2026 draft talent at QB, RB, and WR. Both teams bring returning starters and explosive skill guys worth your early attention.
Iowa State
Rocco Becht – QB (2026) – 6'1", 210 lbs, Age 21.8
Over 6,600 career passing yards. Has the tools to be an NFL backup/spot starter, but decision-making and intermediate accuracy will be in the spotlight.Watch for: Pocket discipline and intermediate accuracy.
Abu Sama III – RB (2026) – 5'11", 200 lbs, Age 20.2
7.3 YPC as a freshman, dipped to 4.7 in 2024. Explosive burst when he sees daylight, but needs to show he can produce against a stout run D like K-State’s.Watch for: Ability to create chunk plays vs. K-State’s front seven.
Kansas State
Avery Johnson – QB (2026) – 6'2", 188 lbs
Dual-threat with 25 passing TDs and 7 rushing scores in 2024. Needs to refine reads, but upside is evident.Watch for: Read progression and balance between passing/running.
Dylan Edwards – RB (2026) – 5'9", 170 lbs
Electric speed, strong receiving chops (55 career catches), and 7.4 YPC in 2024. Size limits workhorse potential, but could be a PPR gem.Watch for: Motion/slot usage to hint at NFL versatility.
Jayce Brown – WR (2026) – 6'0", 179 lbs, Age 20.3
Jumped from 437 to 823 yards in 2024. Good route sharpness, YAC ability, and could emerge as a mid-round NFL prospect with another leap.Watch for: Consistency as a WR1 vs. top corners.
5:30 p.m. CT – Fresno State @ Kansas (FOX)
If you want to scout under-the-radar prospects, this is your game. Neither side has a sure-fire 2026 impact rookie, but both teams have players who could rise.
Fresno State
Bryson Donelson – RB (2027) – 5'11", 207 lbs
Averaged 6.0 YPC as a true freshman. Not on many devy boards yet, but efficiency this early is worth noting.Watch for: Contact balance and passing-down usage.
Kansas
Jalon Daniels – QB (2026) – 6'0", 203 lbs
45 career passing TDs and over 1,000 career rushing yards. Needs to cut down turnovers and push his completion rate back over 60%.Watch for: Deep ball consistency and decision-making on RPOs.
6:30 p.m. CT – Stanford @ Hawaii (CBS/Paramount+)
It’s the late-night game of Week 0, perfect for closing out the day. While it’s not loaded with proven dynasty talent, we’ve got two intriguing offensive names worth staying awake for — a new WR1 for Stanford and a young QB in Hawaii who could start climbing devy boards quickly.
Stanford
Tiger Bachmeier – WR (2026) – 6'1", 195 lbs
Steps into the top receiving role after Elic Ayomanor’s departure to the NFL. Bachmeier isn’t a pure burner, but his crisp routes, body control, and reliable hands give him a shot to emerge as the focal point in the passing game.Watch for: How quickly he builds chemistry with Stanford’s starting QB and whether he’s commanding high-target volume.
Hawaii
Micah Alejado – QB (2027) – 6'0", 200 lbs
Redshirt freshman who went 48-of-69 for 580 yards and 6 TDs in the final two games of 2024. He could be one of the better Group of 5 quarterback prospects in a few years.Watch for: Ability to push the ball downfield against a Power 5 defense and how he handles pressure from Stanford’s front.
Other Games of Note
Idaho State @ UNLV – 2:00 p.m. CT (Mountain West Network)
This is why we buy the sports package — college football is back, so of course we’ll have this one on TV. It’s an FCS vs. FBS mismatch, but these games can sometimes sneak a deep sleeper into your dynasty watchlist.
Sam Houston @ Western Kentucky – 6:00 p.m. CT (CBSSN)
Veteran QB Maverick McIvor leads WKU’s offense. Not a big dynasty name, but could flash in a pass-friendly system.
