Campus Scouting Guide - Week 3 2025
Our Perfect Saturday Slate
This week’s lineup is loaded with SEC flavor, plus a primetime clash with dynasty talent everywhere. The challenge wasn’t finding marquee games — it was choosing which ones best balance NFL scouting value, dynasty relevance, and quality of opponent. From Alabama’s bounce-back test, to Georgia–Tennessee’s blue-chip showcase, to an evening tilt that might be the most prospect-dense game of September, Week 3 is all about clarity.
Saturday:
11:00 a.m. CT – Wisconsin @ #19 Alabama (ABC) - Alabama looked lifeless against FSU in the opener but roared back last week. Wisconsin provides a litmus test before Bama heads into SEC play — can Ty Simpson, Germie Bernard, and Ryan Williams produce against a defense that won’t give them anything easy?
2:30 p.m. CT – #6 Georgia @ #15 Tennessee (ABC) - Stars everywhere. Georgia rolls in with RB Nate Frazier and WR Zachariah Branch headlining, but don’t overlook Mike Matthews and Chris Brazzell II for the Vols. SEC matchups don’t get much more dynasty-relevant than this.
6:30 p.m. CT – #16 Texas A&M @ #8 Notre Dame (NBC) - The scouting centerpiece of the week. Marcel Reed, Micah Hudson, KC Concepcion, Jeremiyah Love, Jaden Greathouse — the list of dynasty-relevant names is almost unfair. Expect high-level tape across the board.
9:30 p.m. CT – Texas State @ #12 Arizona State (TNT/truTV/HBO Max) - Jordyn Tyson is off to a blazing start, and Texas State’s Lincoln Pare and Beau Sparks bring legit playmaking upside. A sneaky game worth staying up for if you’re serious about prospect tracking.
Other Games This Weekend To Consider:
Early:
#4 Oregon @ Northwestern (11:00 a.m. CT - FOX) – Oregon’s offense is overloaded with future NFL talent. Dante Moore continues to settle in at QB, and WRs Dakorien Moore and Evan Stewart offer a chance to see how multiple potential WR1s coexist. For Northwestern, this is about proving they can hold up against raw athleticism.
#12 Clemson @ Georgia Tech (11:00 a.m. CT - ESPN) – Cade Klubnik’s efficiency has been a storyline, but the real dynasty draw is WR Bryant Wesco’s steady rise. Add in TJ Moore and Antonio Williams, and Clemson has a WR room that could dominate this cycle. Georgia Tech’s defense provides a reality check for how far they’ve come.
Afternoon:
Pittsburgh @ West Virginia (2:30 p.m. CT - ESPN) – Pitt RB Desmond Reid has been a stat monster against lower-level competition. This game is his first true test against Power Four speed and gap discipline, making it a key checkpoint for his 2026 stock.
#18 USF @ #5 Miami (3:30 p.m. CT - CW Network) – Don’t let the brand names fool you — USF is climbing. WRs Chas Nimrod and Keshaun Singleton have NFL size and flashed against AAC defenses, but Miami’s physical corners and a top-end front seven will determine if they’re for real.
Evening:
Florida @ #3 LSU (6:30 p.m. CT - ABC) – Classic SEC battle with dynasty names on both sides. Florida QB DJ Lagway brings dual-threat explosiveness, while LSU rolls out a reloaded WR group and a ground game that can punish defenses. Whoever wins the trenches likely controls the fantasy box score.
East Carolina @ Coastal Carolina (6:30 p.m. CT - ESPN+) – Mid-major shootout potential. Both teams lean heavily on their quarterbacks, and Coastal’s WR room has multiple speed threats who could pop on tape. Not a marquee game, but sneaky value for late-round scouting.
Duke @ Tulane (7:00 p.m. CT - ESPN2) – Duke QB Darian Mensah has been on the rise, and Tulane provides a solid test. On the other side, Tulane’s WR room has depth and speed, giving scouts a chance to check in on how they fare against an ACC defense.
After Dark (9:30 p.m. CT and later):
Minnesota @ California (9:30 p.m. CT - ESPN) – This one’s all about contrasting styles. Minnesota leans on physicality in the run game, while Cal’s offense is more spread and tempo-driven. For dynasty purposes, it’s a chance to see if Minnesota’s backs can create chunk plays against a faster defense, and whether Cal’s skill talent holds up against a rugged front seven.
Boston College @ Stanford (9:30 p.m. CT - ACC Network) – Stanford RB Micah Ford is the focal point and will test BC’s defensive discipline. On the other side, QB Dylan Lonergan, WR Lewis Bond, and TE Jeremiah Franklin give the Eagles enough weapons to make this a useful late-night eval.
Saturday Early
Wisconsin @ #19 Alabama – 11:00 a.m. CT (ABC)
Alabama looked lost in its opener against Florida State but steadied with a softer opponent last week. Now comes the first real test — a Wisconsin defense that’s disciplined, physical, and won’t hand over easy plays. This matchup isn’t just about a bounce-back for the Tide; it’s a litmus test for whether QB Ty Simpson can settle in, WR Germie Bernard can keep producing, and if freshman star Ryan Williams can flash the explosiveness that made him one of the most hyped recruits in the country. On the other side, Wisconsin’s backfield and QB play are worth checking in on against SEC speed — even if none are top-tier dynasty names yet.
Alabama Crimson Tide
Ty Simpson – QB #15 – 6'2", 208 lbs, Junior
2025 Stats: 40/60 (66.7%), 480 yards, 5 TD, 0 INT, 3 sacks | 11 carries, 20 yards, 1 TD
Last Week vs UL-Monroe: 22/28, 250 yards, 3 TD, 0 INT

2025 Stats: 5 receptions, 30 yards (all vs Florida State, Week 1)
Last Game vs UL-Monroe: Did not play (concussion protocol) — now cleared
Why We’re Watching: True phenom with WR1 upside. This will be another chance to show what he can do against a disciplined defense after missing Week 2. Expect Alabama to scheme him touches early.
Saturday Afternoon
#6 Georgia @ #15 Tennessee – 2:30 p.m. CT (ABC)
This is the kind of matchup that defines SEC Saturdays — elite talent everywhere, with blue-chip skill players on both sidelines. Georgia brings a ridiculous amount of speed and explosiveness headlined by RB Nate Frazier and WR Zachariah Branch, while Tennessee has a trio of key playmakers in QB Joey Aguilar, RB Star Thomas, and WR Mike Matthews. Add in supporting names like WR Chris Brazzell II for the Vols and Lawson Luckie/London Humphreys/Talyn Taylor for the Dawgs, and you’ve got one of the most prospect-dense games of the year.
Georgia Bulldogs
Nate Frazier – RB #3 – 5'10", 210 lbs, Sophomore

London Humphreys – WR #16 – 6'2", 200 lbs, Junior - Reliable complementary piece. Can he turn volume into impact against a top-25 defense?
Talyn Taylor – WR #11 – 6'0", 190 lbs, Freshman - True freshman getting early snaps. Electric with the ball in his hands — worth monitoring usage growth.
Tennessee Volunteers
Joey Aguilar – QB #4 – 6'3", 220 lbs, Senior (App State transfer)
2025 Stats: 45/72 (62.5%), 564 yards, 4 TDs, 1 INT | 12 carries, 46 yards
Last Week vs Kent State: 18/27, 220 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT
Why We’re Watching: Big arm and mobility give him upside, but this is his first real SEC test. Georgia’s pressure will force quick reads.
Star Thomas – RB #21 – 6'0", 210 lbs, Senior (Mississippi State transfer)
2025 Stats: 35 carries, 188 yards, 2 TDs | 6 receptions, 44 yards
Last Week vs Kent State: 12 carries, 85 yards, 1 TD
Why We’re Watching: Versatile back with three-down potential. How he holds up against Georgia’s front seven will say a lot about his pro projection.
Mike Matthews – WR #7 – 6'1", 190 lbs, Sophomore
2025 Stats: 13 receptions, 201 yards, 2 TDs
Last Week vs Kent State: 4 receptions, 64 yards, 1 TD
Why We’re Watching: Former five-star already producing as a sophomore. Has the traits to develop into Tennessee’s next big WR star.
Chris Brazzell II – WR #12 – 6'5", 195 lbs, Junior (Tulane transfer)
2025 Stats: 10 receptions, 142 yards, 1 TD
Last Week vs Kent State: 3 receptions, 50 yards
Why We’re Watching: Huge frame and red-zone value. Can he consistently separate against Georgia’s secondary?
Saturday Evening
#16 Texas A&M @ #8 Notre Dame – 6:30 p.m. CT (NBC)
This is the centerpiece matchup of the weekend. Both programs are packed with future NFL talent, and the list of dynasty-relevant names is as long as any game we’ll see all year. Texas A&M leans on a dynamic passing trio in WRs Mario Craver, KC Concepcion, and Le’Veon Moss in the run game, with Marcel Reed orchestrating the offense at QB. Notre Dame answers with RB Jeremiyah Love leading the backfield and WR Jaden Greathouse looking to get more involved after a quiet start. Expect fireworks — and some very telling tape — in this top-20 showdown.
Texas A&M Aggies
Marcel Reed – QB #10 – 6'1", 185 lbs, Sophomore

Why We’re Watching: Dual-threat QB who hasn’t turned the ball over yet. Notre Dame’s defense will be his toughest test, and poise under pressure will define his trajectory.
KC Concepcion – WR #7 – 5'11", 190 lbs, Junior
2025 Stats: 9 receptions, 145 yards, 3 TDs
Last Game vs Utah State: 4 receptions, 73 yards, 2 TDs
Why We’re Watching: A versatile playmaker who’s already established a red-zone connection with Reed. Dangerous inside or outside.
Mario Craver – WR #1 – 5'9", 165 lbs, Sophomore
2025 Stats: 13 receptions, 236 yards, 3 TDs (18.2 Y/R)
Last Game vs Utah State: 5 receptions, 114 yards, 1 TD
Why We’re Watching: Transfer WR with immediate impact. Speed + YAC ability have made him Reed’s go-to for chunk plays.
Other Texas A&M Players to Watch:
Le’Veon Moss – RB #8 – 5'11", 210 lbs, Senior - Veteran back with a physical style. Efficiency is high early, but sustaining it against a fast, disciplined front is the next hurdle.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Jeremiyah Love – RB #4 – 6'0", 214 lbs, Junior
2025 Season-to-Date: 10 carries, 33 yards (3.3 avg)
Last Game vs Miami: 10 carries, 33 yards

Jadarian Price – RB #24 – 5'11", 200 lbs, Junior – Compact runner with burst. Fighting for touches behind Love but can pop in rotational work.
Malachi Fields – WR #8 – 6'2", 210 lbs, Senior (Virginia transfer) – Physical outside receiver who could carve out a possession role.
Eli Raridon – TE #9 – 6'6", 250 lbs, Junior – Long, athletic tight end with red-zone appeal. Needs consistent usage to rise.
Saturday After Dark
Texas State @ Arizona State – 9:30 p.m. CT (TNT/truTV/HBO Max)
A sneaky-good late-night matchup for dynasty scouting. Arizona State has playmakers across the skill positions, led by WR Jordyn Tyson and QB Sam Leavitt, while RBs Raleek Brown and Kanye Udoh are emerging “on the radar” names in the backfield. Texas State isn’t just here to be a sparring partner — RB Lincoln Pare and WR Beau Sparks both bring NFL-caliber traits that could shine on this stage.
Arizona State Sun Devils
Jordyn Tyson – WR #0 – 6'2", 200 lbs, Junior
2025 Stats: 18 receptions, 209 yards, 3 TDs
Last Week @ Mississippi State: 6 receptions, 68 yards, 1 TD
Why We’re Watching: WR1 usage and steady red-zone role. He produced even in a tough loss — consistent involvement makes him a must-watch.
Sam Leavitt – QB #10 – 6'2", 205 lbs, Sophomore
2025 Stats: 339 passing yards, 3 TDs, 3 INTs | 48 rushing yards
Last Week @ Mississippi State: 10/22, 82 yards, 1 TD, 2 INTs | 8 carries, 25 yards
Why We’re Watching: Tools are there, but decision-making under pressure remains a question. A bounce-back here would steady his stock.
Other Arizona State Players to Watch:
Raleek Brown – RB #3 – 5'9", 195 lbs, Junior – Explosive, one-cut runner who can flip a drive with a single crease.
Kanye Udoh – RB #6 – 6'1", 220 lbs, Junior – More physical style makes him a strong complement to Brown.
Texas State Bobcats
Lincoln Pare – RB #7 – 5'9", 200 lbs, Senior
2025 Stats: 33 carries, 238 yards, 2 TDs | 4 receptions, 33 yards
Last Week @ UTSA: 21 carries, 71 yards, 1 TD | 3 catches, 13 yards
Why We’re Watching: A true workhorse for the Bobcats. This will be a major test of whether his production holds up against a Power Four defense.
Beau Sparks – WR #11 – 5'11", 175 lbs, Junior
2025 Stats: 12 receptions, 237 yards, 5 TDs
Last Week @ UTSA: 5 receptions, 155 yards, 1 TD (long of 73)
Why We’re Watching: A vertical threat with elite efficiency early in the season. His ability to stack chunk plays could put pressure on ASU’s secondary.
Closing Thoughts
Week 3 offers a clear split between established blue-chip names and emerging risers fighting for draft relevance. Alabama’s bounce-back attempt against Wisconsin will show if Ryan Williams and Germie Bernard can thrive when the margin for error shrinks. Georgia–Tennessee brings explosive playmakers on both sidelines, from Branch and Frazier to Humphreys and Matthews — the type of high-leverage environment that separates flash from future stardom.
The primetime Texas A&M–Notre Dame clash gives us a concentrated look at backfields in transition and young quarterbacks like Marcel Reed and CJ Carr navigating pressure on a national stage. Then, in the late window, Arizona State–Texas State showcases the other end of the scouting spectrum: under-the-radar names like Lincoln Pare and Beau Sparks trying to prove their production isn’t just G5 inflation.
From spotlight games with playoff implications to quieter matchups with dynasty gems hidden in plain sight, this week will test whether the early-season breakouts are sustainable or just a two-week tease. By Sunday, we should have a better sense of which stock arrows are real — and which were just noise.
